电子工作证正式启用：清关流程迎来调整

Starting December 1, 2024, China implemented a significant change for foreign workers by integrating the foreigner's Work Permit feature into the Social Security Card portal. This move eliminates the need for a physical Work Permit Card, marking a major step in digital transformation efforts and improve a lot of efficiency in whole process circle of Working Permit and Residence Permit for foreigner workers. 

A foreigner's physical Work Permit Card has been one of the crucial documents for customs. 

With the development of implementation, AMR is now able to update customs practice on clearance papers for used household goods export and import. 

For those scenarios where foreign Work Permit Card is required now is replaced with: 

1. Foreigner Work Permit Information Page 

This documents can be downloaded from digital social security card portal.

2. Notification Letter of Foreigner's Work Permit in The People's Republic of China

3.Original Notification Letter of Decision On Administrative Authorization.

At the transition time, current valid Physical Work Permit Card remain usable, and it is available to process customs. When there is change or renewal required, the physical card will switch to a digital one.
